Career Spotlight: Indoor Soccer!

It’s no surprise that we here at Storm8 love games - we love making them, we love playing them. After creating great games like iMobsters and Dragon Story, we sometimes opt for a physical sport as an outlet for our creative energies! After our incredibly productive softball season (1-9 record!), we ran out to World Cup Indoor Soccer Club in South San Francisco for some fieldwork!
We took it easy on ourselves because it was our off-season, so teams of five would sub in after a goal was scored. It felt great to get out into an open space for some hi-speed action, running around and errantly slide tackling each other! In our next soccer session, we’ll be working on more advanced techniques like bicycle kicks and bending it like Beckham.
We work together, we play together - this is one of the foundations of Storm8’s company culture. Whether we’re crunching towards a deadline, watching our dogs chase each other around the office, or getting out of the building for a bite, drink, or game, our days are just like a soccer match: we’re always setting each other up to score a goal.
If you’d like to lace up some cleats and join us for our next Soccer Session, come work and play with us at Storm8! We have tons of positions open, such as UI Engineer, Software Engineer, Graphics Engineer, and Head of Business Development. Read more about these positions at our website, or below the jump!
